Our Parish of Bix & Assendon is located in South Oxfordshire, lying approximately
20 miles South East of Oxford and consists of three small hamlets: Lower Assendon,
Middle Assendon and Bix.
The Assendons are located along the B480 in the beautiful Stonor Valley, just a mile
or so outside of the lovely market town of Henley-on-Thames, home of the world famous
Henley Royal Regatta boat races.
Bix is on the crest of a hill just off the A4130, and here you can find St James
our Parish Church, Bix & Assendon Village Hall and enjoy a stroll on Bix Common.
The whole of our parish is within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Chiltern
Hills and has the benefit of many well-kept footpaths, bridleways and quiet lanes
for leisurely strolls in beautiful woodlands and open countryside.
Our parish has a rich assortment of natural and man-made features of curious, historical
and scientific places of interest.
